So glad you’re here! So..where is ‘Here’?
As activists and organizers, we put in countless hours researching city budgets, attending town hall meetings, creating lesson plans for teach-ins, and doing street outreach to bring attention to causes important to us and our communities. But…have you ever experienced on the day of the big event, that there aren’t as many people there as you were anticipating?
Sure, a handful of people showing up to anything we organize is great, but we know that to make a real impact, we need to connect with and activate dozens, hundred, THOUSANDS of people around our common goal:
LIBERATION!
And often, since we’re bogged down with everything else we’re doing (like making sure someone brings batteries for the megaphone) we let seemingly small, but equally important details fall through the cracks.
Hard-to-read graphics and inaccessible venues can be the deciding factor if people show up to an event or not.
